Base Pay Range $23.00/hr – $45.00/hr
Position Summary Join Walmart’s local retail team as a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. In this role you will support and oversee repair and maintenance of the Walmart facilities’ refrigeration & HVAC equipment using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and a variety of hand tools, digital tools, power tools and other equipment to complete jobs.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills.
Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart’s safety policies.
Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.
Minimum Qualifications
2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience.
Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
Valid state‑issued driver’s license with clean driving record and the ability to pass an MVR.
18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
Mechanical license in the city/state where the job is located.
