Position Summary Walmart is expanding its workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. If you possess relevant experience in this field, bring your skills to our fast‑paced and welcoming work environment. As a technician, you will support and oversee repair within Walmart’s facilities refrigeration and HVAC equipment team and assets, utilizing commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and tools to complete jobs.
Responsibilities
Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and tools.
Utilize the work‑order management system to receive repair work orders for store and store associate support and document repair activities.
Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete all required training and certifications to operate equipment and tools safely.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following Walmart’s refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.
Minimum Qualifications
2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience.
Type I/Type II or universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.
Compensation
Individual compensation packages are based on factors such as skill set, experience, job level, qualifications, and other job‑related factors.
Eligible for bonus incentives.
Hourly wage range: $23.00‑$45.00. Additional premiums may apply based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
