Base Salary Range
$23.00/hr - $45.00/hr
Position Overview Walmart is expanding its workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. If you possess relevant experience in this field, we invite you to bring your skills to our fast‑paced and welcoming work environment.
Responsibilities
Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment.
Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by performing work according to Walmart’s Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance experience.
Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience.
Type I, Type II, or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and able to pass an MVR report.
Minimum 18 years of age with a high‑school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: 4 years of experience or completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program; mechanical license in the state where the job is located.
