Qualifications
Packer experience preferred
High school diploma/GED
Good communication skills
Operator experience
Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
Capable of effectively managing job‑related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
Job Responsibilities
Verify if product is of quality to pack.
Assist extrusion operator.
Start up machinery.
Chill Roll Cleaning.
Perform Thread Up.
Screen changes.
Adjust core alignment.
Blade adjustments.
Die cleaning.
Popping trim.
Housekeeping.
Wrap up removal pressure roll.
Pack finish goods to correct procedure.
Wrap up removal idle rollers.
Pack material over 5’
Use hand tools.
Machine knowledge.
Boxing, accounting and weighing of scrap.
Must have regular, reliable attendance, and willing to work outside regular schedule as required.
Willing to handle job stress and interact with others in the workplace.
Work Environment and Conditions
Manufacturing Environment.
Ability to work in varying temperatures (cold and hot).
Loud noise.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and repetitive action of lifting and bending.
Able to stand up for up to 12 hrs. and work 12 hrs. rotating schedule.
Must wear steel toe shoes and appropriate PPE on production floor all times.
No shorts, jewelry and loose hanging clothes allowed.
