Winder Operator C
Position Objective:
Follow established quality guidelines to produce a product that meets criteria.
Qualifications
Packer experience preferred
High school diploma/GED
Good communication skills
Operator experience
Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and willingness to accommodate non‑standard work hours
Capable of effectively managing job‑related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions
Job Responsibilities
Verify if product is of quality to pack
Assist extrusion operator in start‑up
Perform chill‑roll cleaning, thread‑up, screen changes, adjust core alignment, blade adjustments, die cleaning, popping trim
Maintain housekeeping, remove wrap‑ups, manage pressure roll, pack finish goods according to procedure
Remove wrap‑ups from idle rollers; handle packing material over 5 ft. with hand tools
Demonstrate machine knowledge; box, account for, and weigh scrap
Maintain regular, reliable attendance and be willing to work outside regular schedule as required
Handle job stress and interact with others in the workplace
Work Environment and Conditions Manufacturing environment; work in varying temperatures (cold & hot), loud noise, lift up to 50 lbs., repetitive lifting/bending, stand up for up to 12 hrs., work 12‑hr rotating schedule. Must wear steel‑toe shoes and appropriate PPE on production floor all times. No shorts, jewelry, or loose hanging clothes allowed.
