Summary SCHERDEL Sales & Technology, Inc. is seeking a dependable Machine Operator to operate advanced Bihler automated forming and assembly equipment used in high‑precision metal component manufacturing. This Tier 1 role is part of a structured tiered advancement program with training and long‑term growth opportunities.
Training Requirement
Must be available to train on 1st shift (Monday–Friday) for a minimum of 6 months
What you’ll do
Operate Bihler metal forming and assembly machines for the production of precision parts
Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and comparators to ensure accuracy
Read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and verbal/written instructions
Adhere to ISO/IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 quality and environmental systems
Load raw materials, start production runs, and monitor machine operations
Perform basic machine adjustments (after training) and report technical issues promptly
Accurately record part counts, downtime, and scrap data
Collaborate with team leads and supervisors to support continuous improvement
Maintain a clean, organized workstation in line with 5S and safety standards
What are we looking for
High school diploma or GED
At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing or machine operation
Ability to read blueprints and use standard precision measurement tools
A consistent and reliable attendance history
Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and improve
Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for extended periods
Preferred
Previous experience operating automated forming or stamping machinery
Familiarity with Bihler or other high‑speed precision forming systems
Automotive or ISO‑certified production background
