Mission

Set up and adjust CNC machines

Read blueprints and specs like second nature

Inspect parts, make adjustments

Keep your station safe and on point

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or both) according to specifications.

Load raw materials, perform machine adjustments, and monitor machining operations.

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.

Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

Adjust machine settings to maintain tight tolerances and part quality.

Perform basic preventative maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.

Complete production reports, logs, and quality documentation accurately.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following company safety standards.

Work closely with supervisors, quality teams, and fellow machinists to meet production goals.

Troubleshoot minor machining issues and elevate complex problems to leads or supervisors.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications in machining preferred.

Previous experience operating CNC machines (mills, lathes, or similar equipment).

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and inspection instructions.

Strong understanding of machining principles, tools, feeds, speeds, and materials.

Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).

Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

Ability to stand, lift, and move materials during the shift (up to 50 lbs).

Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a production team.

Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
