As a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at our local retail store, your role will support and oversee repair within the Walmart facilities Refrigeration HVAC equipment team and assets by utilizing commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.
Responsibilities
Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and tools.
Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by performing work according to Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.
Minimum Qualifications
2 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
Large Scale Rack Refrigeration experience.
Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for refrigerant handling.
Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Vocational or Technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years of mechanical maintenance or construction‑related experience for commercial HVAC/R and building controls, or 4 years of such experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of a 2‑year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program.
Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.
Compensation
Individual compensation packages are based on factors such as skill set, experience, level of job offer, and qualifications.

Hourly wage range: $23.00 – $45.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
