Job Description Primary focus is on supporting Bayport manufacturing facility and Edge Andersen Equipment Solutions internal machine build group. This position will be responsible for preparing & machining parts from various materials with CNC controlled mills and lathes.
Primary Responsibilities
Fabricate machine parts and weldments leveraging Mastercam Software
Cut and prep. various materials for Machining
Machine parts on manual mills and lathes as required
Prioritize work to meet customer deadlines
Participate in design reviews with Machine Designers and peers in the shop
Strong focus on customer service
Understand safety rules and procedures to safely perform all tasks
Know and practice respectful workplace behavior
Support a culture of best practice on 5S and overall shop safety
Qualifications and Skills MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
2-year technical degree in CNC Machining
3D CAD modeling software understanding
Proficient at print reading and tolerance interpretation
Mastercam software experience
Strong understanding of metrology and how it applies to machining
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong computer skills in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Nice-to-have Qualifications
Machine design experience
Machine build experience
Physical Requirements Summary
Must be able to stand for 8 hours
Must be able to occasionally lift 50 lbs.
Some heavy lifting required at low frequency. Equipment is provided to move/manipulate heavy components
Requires repetitive action such as simple starting, grasping, firm grasping and fine manipulating
Handling hazardous waste wearing the appropriate PPE
Working near/on hot equipment/materials
Pay Range $28.05 - $39.81
