We are hiring an experienced
CNC Machine Setup Operator
to support a precision manufacturing facility operating in the Central Virginia region. This role focuses on
Swiss-type CNC lathe setups , tooling adjustments, quality checks, and maintaining accuracy on tight-tolerance components.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys hands-on machine setup work, has strong attention to detail, and is comfortable working on a steady 4-day schedule.
What You’ll Handle
Setting up and operating Swiss-type CNC lathes
Tooling changes, offsets, and machine adjustments
Quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and indicators
Reading machining prints and following specifications
Maintaining consistency and reliability across production runs
What We’re Looking For
Experience with Swiss CNC machines (Star, Citizen etc preferred)
Strong mechanical aptitude + ability to hold tight tolerances
Ability to interpret prints and basic GD&T
Reliable for onsite work in the Central Virginia area
