Responsibilities
Drafting and e-filing state and federal pleadings, ensuring all documents are accurate and submitted within the required timelines.
Proofreading, editing, and transcribing legal documents, ensuring they are free from errors and ready for submission.
Managing case files, ensuring compliance with court deadlines and maintaining an organized and up-to-date filing system.
Proficiency in using MS Office, Teams, Juris, Share File, and specialized case management software to manage and track case progress.
Conducting conflict checks to ensure the firm's integrity and ethical responsibility.
Assisting in case intake development and monitoring of cases, ensuring all relevant information is gathered and recorded.
Serving as the primary liaison between the firm and clients, providing timely updates and improving client satisfaction.
Preparing and filing arbitration demands, ensuring all necessary documentation is included.
Managing the firm's calendar, scheduling appointments, court dates, and meetings.
Qualifications
Experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role.
Proven experience in drafting and e-filing state and federal pleadings.
Excellent proofreading, editing, and transcription skills.
Experience in managing case files and ensuring compliance with court deadlines.
Proficiency in MS Office, Teams, Juris, Share File, and specialized case management software.
Experience in conducting conflict checks.
Proven experience in case intake development and monitoring of cases.
Exceptional client service skills, with experience in a client-facing role.
Experience in preparing and filing arbitration demands.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, and client relations.
