Position Summary The Vehicle Mechanic Technician/Inspector conducts comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles and mechanical equipment to ensure operational readiness and compliance with safety and performance standards. This role supports continuous mission‑critical operations and requires a high level of technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment. Technicians must furnish their own professional‑grade tools, including diagnostic scanners capable of performing system‑level troubleshooting, to effectively identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
Key Responsibilities
Perform safety and preventive maintenance inspections
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and driveline systems
Use personal diagnostic scanners for troubleshooting
Repair or replace brakes, suspension, steering, cooling, and electrical components
Maintain service records and inspection documentation
Ensure work meets safety, OEM, and site standards
Support priority repairs as needed
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of professional vehicle maintenance experience
Must provide own tools and diagnostic scanners
Proficient with technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic equipment
Able to work extended hours
Must pass all required background checks and site access requirements
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
