Main Responsibilities
Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostic work.
Perform preventative maintenance repairs such as tire replacement/rotation, component lubrication/replacement, some electrical and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles.
Partner with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching.
Work on other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
Valid driver’s license.
Problem‑solving ability and comfort using tools.
Excellent customer‑service and communication skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to understand and comply with Penske’s instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or other information.
Compliance with DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies, including correct tool and PPE use, machine guarding, and best safety practices.
Regular, predictable, full attendance required.
Current driver qualification file maintained as required by DOT regulations (annual MVR check, successful DOT Physical, Safety Performance History, and drug screening for CDL holders).
Willingness to work required schedule, location, complete employment application, undergo background screening, drug screen and physical, and travel for training as needed.
Physical Requirements
Move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend and sit for extended periods throughout the schedule.
Use hands regularly to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel or operate tools or controls.
Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms.
Work safely in all weather conditions.
See and hear to navigate a busy environment with large trucks.
Regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally lift or move up to 100 lbs (45 kg); push or pull truck tires that exceed 100 lbs as needed.
