Diesel Technician/Mechanic III – Entry Level
Join Penske Truck Leasing as a Diesel Technician/Mechanic III. You will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on the newest and best maintained fleet of vehicles in the industry.

Main Responsibilities
Maintain vehicle safety and condition for customers
Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics
Perform preventative maintenance repairs such as tire replacement or rotation and component lubrication
Partner with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching
Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred); vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair (preferred)
Basic mechanical aptitude and 1‑2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
Valid driver’s license
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work well as a team member and independently
Basic computer skills
Adherence to DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies
Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential
Will work required schedule, complete employment application, submit background screening, pass drug screen and physical as required by DOT

Shift differentials for second shift (starting after 11 am) or third shift (starting after 9 pm) and weekend work
Eligible for $2.00/hr rate for holders of a current and valid CDL
Ongoing skills training for maintenance associates
Physical Requirements
Move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods
Use hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, and operate required tools or controls
Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms
Work in all weather conditions
Lift regularly up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg)
