Essential Responsibilities
Arrive at work well-rested and prepared, prioritizing safety at all times
Efficiently dry lumber using computer-controlled kilns
Perform all duties associated with the Big Lift Operator role
Operate the 950 equipment to maneuver kiln charges
Continuously monitor kilns, flash tanks, and condensate tanks
Manage the flow of lumber on both the green and dry pads
Maintain clear communication with the Sawmill and Planer departments
Conduct daily quality checks for the Stacker, Charge Building, and Yard
Deliver a high-quality product to downstream customers
Understand and meet throughput expectations
Perform daily sampling and moisture content testing
Exhibit self-motivation and initiative
Collaborate effectively as part of a team
Minimum Qualifications
3–5 years of kiln operation experience
Strong understanding of wood properties as they relate to drying processes
Basic knowledge of kiln maintenance
Excellent communication skillsAbility to work well under pressure
Positive attitude and strong team collaboration
Ability to work independently and proactively
Demonstrated honesty and integrity in the workplace
Be proactive
Ability to lift up to 49lbs
