Welder
for our team in
Metropolis, IL . Whether you are a certified welder or just starting, Ingram will invest in your training and development for the next level.
This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of Ingram’s fleet of towing vessels. We operate in an environment where flexibility and a willingness to take on new tasks and responsibilities keep things interesting.
Responsibilities
Welding/Cutting/Fitting
Dry docking vessels for hull repair
Operating a forklift
Operating a hydraulic crane
Firewatch on towing vessels
Routine dock clean-up
Other duties as requested
Qualifications
Demonstration of the Ingram Way
Ability to uphold Ingram’s high safety standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Demonstration of critical thinking and decision-making skills
Ability to demonstrate teamwork and acceptance of diversity
Strong communication skills with all levels within the organization
Candidate Requirements
Possess a High School Diploma or GED
Possess a valid driver’s license
Display excellent communication skills
Must be able to walk and lift for extended periods
Must be able to carry more than fifty pounds on a regular basis
Must be able to read and write the English language to comply with USCG regulatory requirements
