Office Assistant Position
We are looking for a dedicated Office Assistant to join our team in Stamford, Connecticut. This contract to permanent position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting the smooth operation of a detail-oriented services firm. You will play a vital role in ensuring daily administrative and logistical tasks are completed efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Sort and distribute incoming mail, scan documents, and manage outgoing mail processes.
- Maintain and restock office equipment, such as copiers and scanners, while placing service calls when necessary.
- Organize and file records related to office activities and business transactions, both manually and electronically.
- Assemble, disassemble, and manage inventory of goods and materials, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
- Assist in preparing meeting or seminar rooms, including arranging necessary materials.
- Perform routine clerical duties such as scanning, copying, and sorting documents.
- Ensure filing systems are kept updated and organized for easy access.
- Handle physical tasks, including lifting moderately heavy boxes as needed.
- Carry out additional administrative tasks as assigned to support the team.
- Previous experience in receptionist or clerical roles with a focus on administrative support.
- Proficiency in scanning, copying, and sorting documents efficiently.
- Ability to manage and maintain office equipment, including troubleshooting minor issues.
- Strong organizational skills to handle filing systems and inventory management.
- Comfortable performing physical tasks, such as lifting and moving boxes.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and departments.
- Familiarity with office environments and standard procedures.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize workloads effectively.
