Your new role as an AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineer) will see you deliver quality and reliable maintenance and rectification services to a high standard, while ensuring all WHS and Quality policies and procedures are adhered to. This role will see you working with a range of specialist teams enabling you to provide excellent engineering standards on a solid foundation of safety, quality, reliability, and service.
Reporting to the Line Maintenance Manager, some of the key responsibilities of this role are:
Carry out maintenance on company aircraft
Ensure timely and correct completion of all work carried out
Quality Control for aircraft presentation - upon completion of maintenance and prior to release
Delivering quality and reliable maintenance and rectification services to a high standard Ensuring all WHS and Quality policies and procedures are adhered to.
Comply with Jetstar’s Safety Management System
Required to work at other ports (including international locations) as required
Comply with all Jetstar training and compliance requirements
Build and maintain a good working relationship with contractors and outside service providers
We’re on the hunt for someone who:
Has completed Certificate IV in Aeroskills (AU or NZ equivalent), with previous A320/321 experience desirable
Has excellent time management skills and a proven ability to effectively manage self and others
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Has experience in Line Maintenance
Has a proven commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement initiatives
Has proven problem-solving skills and the ability to handle competing demands, particularly when under pressure and/or managing multiple stakeholders; and
Holds a valid driving licence and ability to obtain an Airside Drivers Licence
Willing and able to hold a Qantas Group-issued ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card) including a full international criminal clearance
Willing and able to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Medical test prior to commencement
