As part of the Operations Planning & Analysis team, the
Senior Financial Analyst
is tasked with ownership of
Fleet & Engineering Projects
cost analysis and control (actual and forecast), business partnering across the Engineering business reporting and tracking. You will be involved in the annual budget process providing support to the Leadership Team in analysis, insight and ensuring key deliverables are met and alignment to strategic direction.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Support the delivery of timely and accurate analysis, forecasts and reporting of the Engineering business units, and tracking to budget (Opex & Capex)
Lead the actual and forecast reporting process for your business area.
Partner with various functions in coordinate regular tracking of expenditure performance, understand and communicate key drivers / trends of expenditure performance
Provide financial modelling & support to the department for business cases including detailed financial modelling and analysis
Support the recharging and cross-charging of shared contracts with other QF Group businesses
Support the deliverables during month-end cycle including month end deadlines, reporting and analysis
Support the build of the Aircraft Fleet and Engineering Projects budget / forecasts, including accurate analysis and insights
Attend various working groups, steering committees and meetings to support Fleet & Project requirements
Business partnering with cost centre owners to help deliver to budget objectives – Opex and Cape - including annual budget activities, 5 year plans and 10 year plans
To be considered for this role you will have:
Tertiary studies in related discipline
Professional Accounting (CPA/CA), or equivalent Finance qualification
At least 5 years’ experience in the management accounting/business analyst arena
Strong analytical, financial modelling and cause-and-effect skills
Experienced in preparing and delivery of presentations to Senior Management
Preferable airline or high turnover/low margin large industry experience
Strong computer based skills (Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Proven ability to manage priorities and multiple stakeholders
Excellent communicator (written and oral) with well-developed influencing and presentation skills.
