Telework Information Hybrid approach that includes office‑ and remote‑centric work solutions with a minimum of two days per week in office.

You will work across all areas of accounting from accounts receivable to reconciliations, travel claims, and more. If you enjoy learning, problem‑solving, and making an impact, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Work Location Natural Resources Building, 715 P Street, Sacramento, CA 95814. The building features ergonomic furniture, panoramic downtown views, a free employee gym, a cafeteria and bodega, call and conference rooms, adjacent childcare, and much more.

Minimum Requirements Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications stated in the Classification Specification. Minimum requirements are outlined in the Class Specification and include October 2025 documentation references.

Desirable Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in accounting principles and State of CA accounting practices and procedures.

Experience with accounts payable.

Experience working in the State of CA accounting system; FI$Cal.

Experience reviewing travel expense claims, travel policies, and CalATERS, the State of CA travel reimbursement system.

Experience analyzing financial data, identifying discrepancies, and recommending corrective actions.

Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis) and other Office applications.

Ability to interpret and apply the State Administrative Manual (SAM), Government Codes, and Departmental Policies.
