Production Supervisor Location: Pottstown, PA

Base pay: $27.00/hr - $29.00/hr

Duration: 03 to 04 months (May go longer)

Number of positions: 1

Shift: Second Shift (03:00 PM to 11:00 PM)

Responsibilities

2nd Shift Supervisor Production

Oversee, provide leadership and coordinate activities for production within the plant to ensure quality and productivity measurements are acceptable.

Supervise all employees in your department and manage the flow of production. Encourage teamwork within the lines and across all shifts.

Monitor shop floor safety. Responsible for training team members in their operations and the safety requirements of that operation.

Responsible for maintaining high standards for housekeeping, safety and general maintenance.

Actively participate in all aspects of quality control as it is related to daily production.

Verify work standards/ set up sheets, quality checkpoint sheets and all other production related documents are present at the point of use and up to date.

Must also ensure employees follow them.

Monitor scrap on daily basis and implement corrective actions to achieve yearly scrap goals.

Focus on improving product and process capability.

Forward thinking and self-motivated in relation to production floor/ systems improvements.

Involved in problem solving and corrective actions related to production issues.

Oversee production meetings with employees in your department.

Liaison to Team Leaders on all shifts (Coach, Lead, and Direct).

Must be willing to accept phone calls during off hours.

Able to coach and give disciplinary notices to employees when necessary.

Update and assess employee-training matrix at all times.

Schedule and post overtime requirements when necessary.

Monitor vacation and attendance of employees in your department.

Responsible for time entry.

Supports, enforces and complies with all company policies and procedures.

In charge of completing performance evaluations on employees.

Solution oriented with the ability to investigate and analyze data for problem solving.

Project Management skills and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to think and act cross-functionally.

Computer proficiency in a Windows environment utilizing Microsoft Office.

Basic mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail focus.

Ability to work in a fast paced, highly complex setting.

Excellent organizational skills.

Must be flexible to work on first, second or third shift.

Must have the ability to work overtime and weekends as required.

Qualifications

Experience Required: 3+ years manufacturing or assembly experience, Union experience preferred & Supervisory experience preferred.

Education Required: High School diploma required. College degree or some college preferred.
