Job Description Summary

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to plan and conduct a wide range of software quality tests and analyses, ensuring that all application products and services meet organizational standards and end‑user requirements. The role involves risk‑based testing, test automation, performance testing, test data management, CI/CD, and continuous delivery, improving speed to delivery for our business partners. Key Responsibilities

Carry out procedures to ensure all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end‑user requirements. Analyze and review moderate requirements, user stories and technical work products to create the automation needed. Apply secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle. Plan the proper mix of manual, automated, and exploratory testing methods. Use the appropriate quality engineering tools to define test data management, test automation, security/vulnerability, performance, and regression testing needs. Validate test results, record and research defects. Coordinate test runs and test environment calendars for all impacted applications. Trace requirements to tests and test results. Prioritize, define and manage defect reporting and resolution. Identify means to be more effective and efficient in testing, without compromising quality. Plan for continuous integration to enable a continuous deployment pipeline. Execute moderate release testing and have a plan for back‑out testing. Validate that release components are installed in the appropriate testing environment. Align with the Nationwide automated testing reference architecture. Comply with release management process governance and timelines throughout the release. Reporting Relationships: Reports to the Technology Manager or Director. Typical Skills and Experiences

Education:

Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or a related field (preferred). License/Certification/Designation:

Technology certifications such as TOSCA Automated Specialist 1 (AS1), TOSCA Automated Specialist 2 (AS2), or other related designations (preferred). Experience:

Four or more years of experience with test optimization and automation tools, and demonstrated experience in testing for agile teams including planning, test plan creation, maintenance and execution. Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:

Strong analytical and communication skills; knowledge of planning; ability to solve problems and set priorities; industry knowledge in insurance/financial services is a plus. Other criteria, including leadership or technical skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence. Values

National salary range for Specialist, Quality Engineer: $95,500.00 – $177,500.00. Expected starting salary range: $95,500.00 – $143,500.00. Seniority Level
