There are a number of sports parks dotted around our spectacular Garden City. Our Metro Sports Turf team is tasked with looking after Hagley Park, including the internationally renowned Hagley Oval and our wonderful sports facilities at Nga Puna Wai, and a number of specialist sports turf surfaces throughout the city.
About the team | Ko te rōpū nei This is a chance to work as an important member of a dedicated and passionate team, in a supportive environment. You get to combine your love of sport and desire to work outside on a daily basis, all while gaining a national qualification. All up, we think it sounds like a pretty sweet gig.

Qualifications
Level 2 NCEA certificate or relevant experience.
Strong reading and writing skills.
You'll love working in a team environment, learning from the best, and to work outside, you'll be in tip-top physical health.

Hours of work:This is a 40-hour per week role; however, flexibility is required to work around events at Hagley Oval, including significant weekend work over the summer months.
Position: Full-time, fixed term for 48 months.
Location: This position is primarily based at Hagley Park Oval, 57 Riccarton Ave.
Salary: The hourly rate for this position is $28.97 per hour. We pay the current NZ living wage!
