The Firm works with a variety of insurance carriers and is located in San Antonio, Texas. We offer a hybrid schedule; candidates must be located in San Antonio. Experienced attorneys should be ready to hit the ground‑running and absorb their own docket of cases. Submit a resume to be considered for this position.
Responsibilities
Review new file assignments and approve initial pleadings, propound discovery, and/or develop strategy.
Contact clients to discuss their case and answer any questions, maintaining contact for at least 60 days.
Contact claims (initial litigation plan, recurring minimum 60‑day contact, strategy conferences, etc.).
Conduct all aspects of discovery: written discovery, deposition of parties, fact witnesses, and expert witnesses.
Perform due diligence; gather all relevant facts and documents; collaborate with Law Clerks, Paralegals and/or other Attorneys in due diligence.
Research and determine applicable and pertinent laws, statutes, regulations, rules, and other legal authority; identify legal issues.
Qualifications
Candidate must hold a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
At least 2‑5 years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury or insurance defense, and meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice throughout employment.
Must be in good standing with the State Bar and have an active license to practice law in Texas.
Strong analytical and writing skills; strong organizational skills; ability to multi‑task; passion for client service and practice development.
