Information Technology Specialist 3 – Systems Programming (Position ID: 9730) at NYS Office of Information Technology Services. This role supports containerized services on the Google Cloud Platform and works with cloud development teams across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Base pay range:
$86,681.00/yr - $109,650.00/yr
Responsibilities
Work with cloud development teams to support current and future needs in a containerized environment
Troubleshoot connectivity, load balancing, scaling, and monitoring issues
Work with containerized workloads in cloud hosting environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
Administer, maintain, and support Google Kubernetes Engine
Assist clients and stakeholders with Google Cloud Platform issues
Document work in work logs and supervise SG-18 employees
Qualifications
Minimum one year of permanent competitive services as an Information Technology Specialist 3 (Systems Programming) or equivalent G-21 or higher position under Section 52.6 of Civil Service Law, or eligibility for transfer under Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law (transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in advancement of more than two salary grades)
Authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis; F1 and H1 visa holders are not eligible for permanent employment
May require fingerprinting and up to 25% travel or lifting up to 50 lbs
