Retail Assistant Branch Manager
in Fairmont, West Virginia. This role drives consumer and business customer relationships, community engagement, and in‑store partner relationships while delivering the Woodforest Experience to every customer, every day.
Responsibilities
Assist the Branch Manager in achieving branch sales and revenue goals by proactively recommending banking products and services.
Lead innovative strategies to grow, retain, and deepen consumer and business relationships, including inside and outside business calling.
Enhance customer experience by greeting, engaging, and developing positive relationships with customers, community members, and retail partners.
Execute a technology‑driven customer experience and community engagement strategy with community development partners.
Coach and inspire team members to reach their full potential and act as a positive role model.
Maintain operational excellence by adhering to policies, procedures, and branch security procedures, including cash, vault, and ATM management.
Perform branch servicing duties such as cash and vault balancing, card and report ordering, and audit control checks.
Address customer questions and concerns by telephone and in person, owning resolution until final resolution.
Qualifications
3 years of relevant sales and/or customer service experience.
Associate’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of relevant experience, is acceptable.
Demonstrable leadership ability; prior supervisory experience is preferred.
Excellent organization, prioritization, multi‑tasking, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills, sales aptitude, and ability to work flexible or extended hours.
Positive, engaging, and able to coach and receive direct feedback.
Ability to understand and apply policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
Benefits & Other Information Full‑time position. Travel up to 25% or more outside of branch. Working conditions include standing most of the time and occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
