Patient Safety Sitter – Behavioral Health – Perth Amboy – Per Diem – Day
Join us as a Patient Safety Sitter at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute. This role is part‑time (per diem) and based in Perth Amboy, New Jersey.

Responsibilities
Ensure patient safety under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
Observe patient status for changes in behavior and report all observations to the Registered Nurse.
Maintain a safe environment by identifying and reducing safety risks.
Apply appropriate interventions such as observation, redirect, and diversional activities.
Work in situations with isolation precautions.
Promote HMH core beliefs and standards to foster positive patient and team interactions.
Maintain patient confidentiality, privacy, and dignity.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent program (in progress) required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required within 60 days of hire.
Compensation Minimum rate of $17.12 per hour. The posted rate is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay at the time of posting in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act.
Job Duties Compensation may vary based on market data, experience, education, skills, geographic location, internal equity, and budget. Performance‑based incentives, bonuses, or commissions may also be available. Shift differentials may apply for evening, night, or weekend work.
