Specialized Tax Services-Global Employer Services Senior Associate-ESOP Advisory Focused role at BDO USA.

Responsibilities

Develop, recommend, and implement methods to maximize client benefits by reducing current and future taxes.

Execute tasks related to equity compensation, deferred compensation, and individual and corporate income taxes.

Research: Identify situations requiring research, outline issues, analyze sources, compose detailed reports.

Tax Compliance: Ensure client compliance with authorities, minimize compensation-related tax burden, obtain client information, document work for senior review.

Compensation and Benefits Consulting: Review SEC filings, survey data, issue briefs, monitor regulatory actions, advise on compliance strategies.

Strategy Development: Prepare studies of market practices, identify alternative actions, develop understanding of client objectives relative to compensation strategies.

Supervisory: Supervise workload, review work of Associates and Interns, train on software, develop professional growth, deliver performance feedback, perform evaluations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Human Resources required.

Master’s degree preferred.

Two or more years of prior work experience in compensation and/or strategic service consulting preferred.

Certified Compensation Professional, CPA, or other relevant certification preferred.

Statistical software packages preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) preferred.

High proficiency in English, verbal and written, preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong analytical and research skills.

Solid organizational skills.

Ability to meet project deadlines with focus on details.

Ability to multi-task independently or in groups.

Capable of effectively managing a team and delegating assignments.

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client personnel.

Salary Range National Range: $73,500 - $131,250

Maryland Range: $73,500 - $131,250

NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $73,500 - $131,250

Washington DC Range: $73,500 - $131,250
