Reporting to the Correctional Housing Unit Manager II, this position provides supervision for subordinate officers regarding their assigned tasks with male offenders in a Minimum custody state correctional facility. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Conducting shift line-up, making shift assignments, and inspecting personnel to determine if they are physically and mentally capable of assuming an assigned post
- Supervising and assigning subordinate officers to a particular area or post.
- Completing, reviewing, and maintaining time reports, duty rosters, leave schedules, performance evaluations, and administrative forms.
- Accounting for persons and funds to ensure that all assigned equipment is operationally ready.
- Responsible for subordinate officers' activities relating to the custody and welfare of offenders.
- Working rotating and various duty assignments within the defined level of work. The selected candidate may be scheduled to work any shift and will work weekends and holidays to ensure 24/7 staffing coverage.**Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences*** Knowledge of facility operations* Knowledge of Prisons’ policy and procedures**Necessary Special Qualifications:**by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.**This is a RE-POST of position 65022346.
