General Anesthesiologist (1099 Independent Contractor) – Sebring, Florida Area
We are seeking a highly skilled, board-certified or board-eligible
General Anesthesiologist
to join a well-established, independent anesthesia group providing services to multiple facilities in the beautiful Sebring, Florida area. This exceptional 1099 opportunity is designed for an experienced physician who prioritizes clinical autonomy, outstanding compensation, and an unparalleled work-life balance in a collegial, community-focused practice.
In this role, you will deliver comprehensive anesthesia care for a manageable and focused caseload consisting primarily of
orthopedic surgery
(including joint replacements and fracture repairs),
urology
(prostate, kidney stone, and bladder procedures),
general surgery
(hernias, cholecystectomies, appendectomies, and breast cases), and
vascular procedures
(varicose vein treatments and peripheral interventions). Cases are predominantly elective and performed in modern, well-equipped operating rooms with excellent support staff.
Enjoy a highly predictable daytime schedule of
7 AM to 5 PM , Monday through Friday, with
no call, no weekends, and no holidays
required. This structure allows you to focus entirely on delivering exceptional perioperative care without the disruptions of after-hours responsibilities.
Compensation and Benefits
Highly competitive
1099 compensation package

$600,000 annually
(paid as independent contractor).

Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments and formulate individualized anesthesia plans.
Administer a variety of techniques, including general anesthesia, regional blocks, and monitored anesthesia care, while continuously monitoring patient vital signs.
Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nursing staff, and the perioperative team to optimize patient outcomes and safety.
Manage post-anesthesia recovery, including acute pain management and oversight in the PACU.
Document care accurately and remain current with advances in anesthesiology through ongoing education.
Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency program.
Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
Active or eligible for Florida medical licensure.
Demonstrated clinical experience with orthopedic, urologic, general surgical, and vascular cases.
Excellent decision-making skills, composure under pressure, strong communication abilities, and an unwavering commitment to patient-centered care.
