Summary
The Assistant Manager - FF Accounting is responsible for overseeing the financial integrity of the Freight Forwarding business, including Inland Trucking, Trading, and other related segments. This role ensures the accuracy of revenue and cost data, strictly adheres to SOX, GAAP, and IFRS standards, and supports HQ and internal management by delivering insightful financial reports and analyses. The position also plays a key role in driving process improvements, managing reporting activities, and supporting strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the month-end closing process, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting in accordance with corporate policies
Ensure strict compliance with internal controls and external accounting standards (SOX, GAAP, IFRS) relevant to logistics and freight forwarding operations
Supervise daily financial transaction monitoring across Freight Forwarding, Inland Trucking, Trading, and new business units to ensure completeness and accuracy
Review and approve detailed financial reports, including accrual aging and segmented P&L summaries by business type, customer, vendor, and location
Perform proactive financial analysis and forecasting related to revenue, costs, and direct margin to support business planning and decision-making
Oversee accurate consolidation and reconciliation of financial data across all reporting entities and systems
Maintain and govern key financial master data to ensure consistency and integrity across reports and analytical outputs
Develop high-impact financial presentations and dashboards using Excel and BI tools for both internal and external stakeholders
Deliver timely, accurate ad-hoc reports and in-depth financial analyses for senior management, HQ, and external auditors
Lead initiatives to identify, recommend, and implement improvements in financial processes, reporting efficiency, and data quality
Manage the preparation and maintenance of KPI dashboards and reports, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational performance
Monitor team progress and ensure timely completion of financial reporting tasks and deliverables
Oversee accrual testing and validations to ensure accuracy in financial postings during the month-end process
Evaluate and report on the profitability of new business ventures, including direct margin performance
Support strategic projects, system enhancements, and key initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams and leadership
Other duties as assigned
Compensation Range
$90,000 - $105,000 per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)
