Senior Client Accounting Services Specialist
At Suggs Johnson, the Senior Client Accounting Services (CAS) Specialist supports our team of accountants and bookkeepers in delivering outsourced accounting and financial services to clients. This full‑time, non‑exempt salary position is based in either the Anderson or Greenville, South Carolina offices.
The role supports the Client Accounting Services manager in onboarding new clients, developing and refining internal SOPs, and providing high‑quality financial support.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with onboarding new clients, including gathering financial data, setting up systems, and ensuring a smooth transition.
Collaborate with the Client Accounting Services manager to develop, document, and implement SOPs for client accounting procedures.
Perform account reconciliations, including accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP).
Perform internal review of periodic client bookkeeping.
Support clients with special projects as needed.
Participate in internal projects and initiatives as assigned.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for clients.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in accounting, full‑charge bookkeeping, and general ledger work.
Associate’s degree.
Strong understanding of AR/AP processes and general accounting principles.
Proficiency with QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online.
QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification preferred.
Experience with CCH Engagement preferred.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with SOP development or process improvement and financial reporting tools/ERPs is a plus.
