Role Overview Deck electricians are responsible for the installation, repair, overhaul, and operational testing of the electrical systems aboard the ship, including lighting, power distribution, communication, and navigation systems. Duties include reading complex schematics, installing and maintaining wireway racks, rebuilding equipment, installing electronic controls, performing preventative maintenance, and welding studs for equipment mounting.
Qualifications
Certificate or diploma in Electrical or a directly related field (Commercial/Residential/Industrial/Aviation Electrical, Renewable Energy, Generator Installation, Appliance Repair, etc.).
Ability to work at extreme heights or in confined spaces, including kneeling, squatting, crawling, bending, stooping, climbing, and lifting 40 lb.
Must pass a respirator fit test and a Physical Agility assessment.
Willingness to work assigned shifts as production needs dictate.
Nice to Have
High school graduate or equivalent.
