Maintenance Manager Elopak

Purpose We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our team at our new state of the art manufacturing facility. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for leading and managing all maintenance activities 24/7 within the manufacturing facility to ensure optimal equipment performance, minimal downtime, and compliance with safety and food safety standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives while supporting SQF and regulatory requirements. The role is part of the site management team.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities Technical Knowledge

Manage maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.

Ensure proper functioning of printing and packaging equipment, including Komori presses, UV curing systems, conveyors, and related machinery.

Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability.

Maintain compliance with OSHA, food safety standards (SQF, HACCP) during all maintenance activities. Enforce regulatory and safety compliance to ensure a safe workplace environment (LOTO, machine guarding, risk assessment, training, high work, etc.).

Leadership & Team Management

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance technicians.

Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning.

Collaborate effectively with production, quality, and safety teams to meet operational and food safety goals.

Prepare and manage budget, analyze costs, identify cost‑saving opportunities and align maintenance strategy with overall financial and operational goals as well as resource optimization and utilization.

Manage projects and capital investments.

Ensure proper maintenance and management of the building and related infrastructure.

Planning & Scheduling

Utilize CMMS to plan, schedule, and track maintenance activities.

Prioritize work orders and manage downtime to minimize production impact.

Oversee spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components.

Problem‑Solving & Continuous Improvement

Conduct root cause analysis for recurring equipment issues.

Apply Lean Manufacturing and TPM principles to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Identify and implement cost‑saving initiatives and process improvements.

Qualifications Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred).

CMRP certification or TPM training is a plus.

Knowledge of OSHA, SQF, HACCP, and food safety compliance requirements.

Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience leading an industrial maintenance team within a food manufacturing environment.

Proven track record of managing maintenance teams and improving equipment reliability.

Skills

Proficiency in CMMS and inventory management systems.
