The Center for Health Care Quality (CHCQ) at the California Department of Public Health (CPDH) focuses on ensuring and enhancing healthcare standards. Employees appointed to this classification shall receive a Recruitment and Retention Differential of $200 per month

This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by overseeing the review, evaluation, inspection, and certification of health facilities and agencies in compliance with State and Federal laws, regulations, and investigations of complaints. Carries out program activities in a specific region of the state for those facilities and agencies under the jurisdiction of the Center. The Nurse Surveyor Supervisor II (NSS II) ensures that all Department and Program mandates, policies and procedures are carried out in an appropriate and consistent manner. Up to 10% travel may be required.

NURSE SURVEYOR SUPERVISOR II

Desirable Qualifications

Recent experience as a surveyor or HFEII Supervisor

Experience conducting state licensing and federal recertification surveys in healthcare facilities

Experience writing and issuing state and federal deficiencies for state and federal regulations and statutes

Experience writing and issuing state Citations and Administrative Penalties

Experience in leadership positions and supervising employees

Active RN license in California
