Job title Nurse Clinical/UKHC at UK HealthCare. Location: Lexington, KY. Requisition NR14303. Working Title: RN Weekend Plan / Neuro Epilepsy Monitoring Unit / Neuro Universal Unit. Department: H7100: Neuroscience Services. Type: Staff; Full-Time. Salary Range: $28.00-39.10/hour. Required Education: ADN. Required Related Experience: No experience required. Required License/Registration/Certification: Active Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) license, Temporary Work Permit (TWP), Provisional License or active compact state RN license in good standing and American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification for the Healthcare Provider valid for at least 6 months after employment date. Physical requirements: ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds daily and 25-50 pounds frequently; stand, walk and sit for long periods; exposure to potential hazards and infectious diseases. Shift: Two 12-hour shifts each weekend as part of the Weekend Premium Pay Plan; some holidays; 24 hours each weekend with benefits including paid time off. Job Summary: Registered Nurses on the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit provide progressive care to epilepsy patients and other neurological disease processes. The RN is part of the acute care team and may cross-train to the Neuro Universal unit. The role involves a comprehensive nursing plan of care and collaboration with physicians to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Provide total, comprehensive, continuous and patient-centered care including assessing, documenting, planning, implementing, teaching, developing, and evaluating a nursing plan of care. Deliver direct patient care; ensure patient satisfaction; train and delegate duties for Nursing Care Technicians; adhere to University policies and regulations. Collaborate with the nursing staff and physicians to enhance communication and patient outcomes. Qualifications

Active Kentucky RN license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Educational background: ADN; Preferred BSN with at least 1 year of RN experience. Strong direct patient care, critical thinking, communication, organizational, prioritization, and delegation skills; ability to work in a team and independently. Additional Information
