Contribute to enterprise IT initiatives and business-critical IT projects including overseeing account security setup system during rollouts. Manage Active Directory users, groups and GPOs. Identify and resolve gaps in documentation, including IT processes, configurations, checklists and diagrams. Partner with front line service staff to support service desk escalations and be client and vendor interfacing. Maintain and monitor laboratory computer endpoints for compliance and security. Play a significant role in administration of back-end IT systems. Take ownership of the maintenance of key systems, client backup infrastructure and backup processes and client systems monitoring infrastructure under the direction of IT Manager/Director: Maintenance key systems on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly (DWMQ) maintenance plan for the client. Maintenance tasks may include upgrading and patching hypervisors, virtual servers, cloud servers (AWS or Azure) Test restores on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. Documents any issues with the process, informs their manager and ensures issues are resolved quickly to ensure the integrity of client’s backup system Ensure business-critical systems are monitored and that alerting is configured to notify personnel of potential issues with systems. Make modifications to existing PowerShell scripts, for example, adding a different license type to an employee onboarding PowerShell script, or replacing one function/API call with an updated one. Identifies ways to improve department efficiency through creative ideas and solutions to further scripting and automation of common tasks, recommending tools to improve efficiency and removing redundant steps from an existing process. Manage (service settings, service policies) of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive. Manage a small ( Manage enterprise backup solutions including Veeam and Azure Backup, including creating and editing jobs, monitoring jobs, troubleshooting failed backups and performing test restores Configure cybersecurity measures, such as multi‑factor authentication, SSL certificates, disk/device encryption and public key infrastructure (PKI) Mentors and trains fellow team members as appropriate. Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education, certifications and experience 3+ years of relevant work experience in an Enterprise IT department troubleshooting a wide variety of end‑user issues Strong experience with Azure Active Directory and Azure MFA Working knowledge of MS365 ecosystem Working knowledge of common security risks including phishing, password re‑use and social engineering Working knowledge of networking, such as DNS, TCP/IP, ARP, Subnetting and Wi‑Fi Experience working in an enterprise IT ticketing system Experience with PC and Mac hardware components Working knowledge of physical server infrastructure, including servers, RAID, redundant power supplies, UPS infrastructure Perform updates on network devices such as switches, routers and firewalls Working experience with Windows Serverand common services such as DFS, NPS, DHCP, DNS, File and Print Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience in a laboratory setting. Knowledge of common legal compliance initiatives such as SOX, HIPAA, CCPA and ISO Company Benefits and Perks
