We are a diverse, rapidly growing company building innovative mechanical designs, from custom electromechanical equipment and robotics to structures and workstations. The role combines computer‑based design with hands‑on shop or customer site work.
Position Overview As a Mechanical Engineer I you will support projects from concept through installation, creating designs for custom machines, systems, and products. You will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and vendors, with possible travel and overtime. Your contributions will impact the company’s engineering success.
What You'll Do
Perform 3‑D mechanical design, 2‑D drawings, component specification, assembly, and documentation for custom machines, systems, and products.
Gather information and pricing for the proposal process, including site visits as needed.
Collaborate with Project Managers, engineers, and purchasing to communicate equipment and material needs.
Develop and maintain a Bill of Materials (BOM) for projects.
Lead assembly, troubleshooting, prototyping, and light fabrication in shop or field.
Recognize and communicate design changes that are not part of the Scope of Work or active Change Orders.
Lead and mentor Engineering Technicians in various job duties.
Working Conditions
Walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or tools; reach, climb, crawl, kneel.
Work on site in industrial, commercial, and residential locations.
Regular sit, talk, listen, observe, read, write, and type.
What You'll Bring
6 months – 2 years of internship or relevant mechanical or engineering work experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required; Mechanical Engineering preferred.
Passing FE (Fundamental Engineering Exam) preferred or willing to obtain within 1 year.
Valid driver’s license.
Proficiency in computer use, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Proficiency in design software such as Inventor, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
