Overview
Position: Maintenance Mechanic – Full‑time, Mid‑Senior level at Frito‑Lay.
The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and installing pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems across the facility. It also supports preventive maintenance and training of entry‑level mechanics.
Base Pay Range $43.00/hr – $43.00/hr
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps.
Diagnose and repair AC/DC electrical systems, read schematics, and use testing equipment (Volt‑Ohm meter, amp meter, oscilloscope).
Operate lathes, mills, arc and Heliarc welders for repair and fabrication.
Assist entry‑level mechanics with complex repairs and provide technical guidance.
Respond to maintenance calls urgently to restore equipment operation.
Inspect machines, develop short‑term and long‑term repair plans, and manage task lists.
Use preventive maintenance systems and track work orders to maximize equipment efficiency and reliability.
Apply PLC knowledge and contribute to system control and maintenance workflows.
Qualifications & Minimum Requirements
At least 18 years old or older.
Work weekends and holidays.
Lift 15–50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
Stand, walk, climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods.
Work in extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces.
Electrical certification, maintenance manufacturing experience, technical school training, or welding experience preferred.
Prefer candidates with at least two years of mechanical/electrical repair training experience in a manufacturing environment.
