Pay:
$16.00 per hour.
Job Description We want the right Manufacturing Employee to join us at Ryder and work with state‑of‑the‑art equipment in the safest warehouse environment.
Products being handled: Pallets.
Equipment: Palamatic machine and rolling line.
Various construction, building, carpentry, manufacturing, warehouse, skilled and semi‑skilled labor roles at Ryder support distribution across the U.S. We have all benefits other warehouse distribution facilities offer, including weekly pay, on‑the‑job paid training, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off and more.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
1–2 years or more in carpentry or a manufacturing environment (preferred).
Ability to comprehend basic math.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work within a diverse work environment.
Highly thorough and dependable.
Must be punctual and have a good attendance record.
Performs work independently with minimal supervision.
Possesses a high degree of initiative.
Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure.
Ability to
Work independently and as a member of a team.
Be a team player.
Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
Operate power equipment in a safe manner.
Lift and/or push/pull up to 50 lbs.
Twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis.
Use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements.
Work at a steady, fast pace while kneeling and/or twisting.
Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8‑hour day).
Responsibilities
Pallet Inspector/Palamatic Operator:
Safely and securely inspect pallets at a rate that meets company standards.
Manually lift 70‑lb pallets from a stack to a rolling line; lift the pallets for inspection and separation using the Palamatic machine.
Quality:
Ensure that proper inspection and separation is met.
Inventory:
Conduct physical inventories as required.
Safety and Security:
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
Wear all safety equipment while repairing pallets.
Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
Perform other duties as assigned.
