Position Description
Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Pallet Inspector at our warehouse manufacturing facility in Houston, Texas.
Manufacturing and construction positions pay weekly.
Hourly Pay: $16.00 per hour
Schedule: Second Shift, Monday – Friday 4:00 pm – 12:30 am

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
1‑2 years or more in carpentry or manufacturing environment (preferred)
Ability to comprehend basic math
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work within a diverse environment
Highly thorough and dependable
Must be punctual and have good attendance record
Performs work independently with minimal supervision
Possesses a high degree of initiative
Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure
Can work independently and as a team member
Be a team player
Create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
Operate power equipment safely
Lift and/or push/pull up to 50 lbs
Twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch frequently
Use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements
Work at a steady, fast pace while kneeling or twisting
Capable of standing and walking for extended periods (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8‑hour day)
Responsibilities
Pallet inspector / Palamatic operator – safely and securely inspect pallets at a rate that meets company standards and safety requirements.
Manually lift 70‑lb pallets from a stack to a rolling line and for inspection/separation using the Palamatic machine.
Quality – ensure proper inspection and separation is met.
Inventory – conduct physical inventories as required.
Safety and security – maintain a clean, neat, orderly work area; assist in maintaining warehouse security; conduct operations that promote safety; comply with OSHA and MSDS standards; wear all safety equipment while repairing pallets; perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
Perform other duties as assigned.
