Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
1 to 2 years or more in carpentry or manufacturing environment preferred
Ability to comprehend basic math
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Able to work within a diverse work environment
Highly thorough and dependable
Must be punctual and have a good attendance record
Performs work independently with minimal supervision
Possesses a high degree of initiative
Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure
Manages work both independently and as a team member
Operates power equipment in a safe manner
Can lift and/or push/pull up to 50 lbs
Can twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch on a frequent basis
Can use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements
Can work at a steady, fast pace while kneeling and/or twisting
Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8‑hour day)
Responsibilities
Pallet Inspector/Palamatic Operator:
Safely and securely inspect pallets at a rate that meets company standards and in a manner that meets company safety standards
Manually lift 70 lb pallets from a stack to a rolling line; in addition lift the pallets for inspection and separation utilizing the palamatic machine
Quality:
Ensure that proper inspection and separation is met
Inventory:
Conduct physical inventories as required
Safety and Security:
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety
Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards
Must wear all safety equipment while repairing pallets
Performs duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
Performs other duties as assigned
