Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Office of Research at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. The primary purpose of the position is to provide support for a broad range of assigned projects, programs, initiatives, committees and task forces. The coordinator will lead short‑ and long‑term projects and serve as the primary liaison for all research administration.

Posting Summary The Program Coordinator will:
Coordinate research activities, programs, committees and task forces; oversee the Summer Research Program, the Distinction in Research Program and the SIR group.
Manage application, review and award processes, handle stipend payments and event scheduling, and provide data management and reporting.
Provide internal administrative support to professional staff, program directors and faculty, assisting in strategic planning and program development.
Act as the executive liaison between the Senior Associate Dean for Research and faculty, staff, students and other university units.
Maintain the SADR’s calendar, coordinate events, manage travel, expense reimbursements and hiring matters.
Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Social Science or a related field from an accredited institution plus three (3) years of professional administrative experience in an academic or healthcare setting.
Equivalent experience, education and/or training may substitute for the degree requirement.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite; web/database management skills.
Ability to embrace change, manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in research administration or project management.
Knowledge of grant proposal development and funding opportunities.
Salary Details Minimum: $65,272 Mid Range: $78,208 Maximum: $92,772
