Base Pay Range $132,900.00/yr - $182,700.00/yr

This opportunity is available at any location within the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a Jacobs U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the “best” candidates.

As a Senior Structural Engineer professional within our Advanced Manufacturing team, you will work on a variety of projects related to Data Centers, including new builds, retrofits, colocations, and more. You will perform various aspects of structural engineering assignments, increasing your familiarity with design methods and tools.

You will be a key asset working with a diverse team of engineers and designers on capital projects, liaising with internal professionals and design departments for project delivery, and coordinating designs with other Jacobs offices both domestic and international.

Other key contributions include:

Performing a variety of analysis

Creating computer models for structures

Performing calculations for member designs and foundations, material take‑offs for estimating, preparing miscellaneous calculations, and assisting with schedules

Key Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering

8 or more years of professional experience in structural engineering

Registered Professional Engineer with the ability to become registered in additional states

Knowledge of CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation and S3D

Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD

Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other industry‑relevant design code and standards

Knowledge and application of Building Codes

Proficiency with MS Office suite software including MS Teams for remote coordination

Ability to travel to various client sites (approx. 10%–20% travel)

Preferred Qualifications

Master of Science in Engineering

Experience with industrial metals projects including casting and rolling operations or similar heavy industrial projects

Ability to lead teams to deliver commitments on schedule and on budget while meeting quality and client expectations
