Join NYS Office of Information Technology Services as Manager of Information Technology Services 1 Operations. Under the direction of the Manager of Information Technology Services 2, you will help manage a data center providing 24x7 service to agency customers within an IBM mainframe, Unisys A series, Unisys 2200 series, and open systems environment.
Base Pay Range $106,898.00/yr – $131,665.00/yr
Responsibilities
Develop, implement and maintain technical plans.
Respond to systems disruptions, develop solutions, and consult with technical staff and users.
Manage and escalated problems, notifying management, technical support, help desk, and customers as documented.
Develop procedures, standards, and internal controls.
Supervise data center staff, including performance program development.
Direct, deploy, train, motivate, and develop staff to maximize existing abilities.
Make recommendations on hardware and software acquisitions.
Perform the full range of supervisory duties.
Qualifications
Open to NYS employees with one year of permanent competitive service as a Manager Information Technology Services 1 (Operations), SG27/M2, OR at the SG25 or M1 level or higher under Section 52.6 of Civil Service Law.
Eligible applicants must be reachable on the current eligible list for the title in this location.
Permanent employment requires documentation of United States work authorization.
