Human Resource Analyst 1 – Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Our Office of Administration, Department of Corrections Human Resource Office is inviting applications for a Human Resource Analyst 1 in Region 1. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills and be keen to develop expertise in labor relations.

Responsibilities

Partner with Employee Relations Managers to support labor relations across the Cambridge Springs, Albion, and Mercer State Correctional Institutions.

Investigate performance and disciplinary issues, facilitate formal conferences, and issue official correspondence.

Review Workers’ Compensation claims for accuracy and system entry.

Assist with recruitment and staffing initiatives to maintain effective operations.

Work Schedule & Additional Information

Full‑time employment, 37.5 hours per week.

Work hours: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, Monday‑Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch.

Position is based at SCI Mercer; travel throughout the region is required.

Telework: Part‑time home work possible after a 6‑month probationary period, subject to change.

Salary: Starting salary may be non‑negotiable in some cases.

Qualifications Required Experience, Training & Eligibility

Completion of the Human Resource Management Trainee program (Commonwealth or equivalent federal title).

One year as an HR Assistant 2 or an Equal Opportunity Assistant (Commonwealth or equivalent).

One year of paraprofessional analytical experience and a bachelor’s degree.

Or an equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements

Must meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement.

Must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirement

Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
