Job Summary The Client Processing Associate role supports BNY Pershing Clearing Group Operations within Mutual Funds Product Support. This position is responsible for monitoring fund‑related communications, setting up new mutual funds, and managing corporate action activity to ensure accurate processing across brokerage and custody platforms. The role is highly detail‑oriented, back‑office focused, and email‑driven, with strong exposure to mutual fund operations.

Key Responsibilities

Mutual Fund Operations: Monitor a shared group inbox for notifications from mutual fund partners related to corporate actions such as mergers, name changes, fund closures, and new fund launches.

Corporate Actions Processing: Create, schedule, and track corporate action events in internal systems to ensure timely and accurate execution on effective dates.

Fund Setup & Maintenance: Open new mutual fund CUSIPs across Pershing brokerage and bank custody platforms; ensure proper setup, controls, and data accuracy.

Client & Partner Coordination: Communicate with transfer agents, mutual fund partners, and IBD clients to clarify requests, gather missing information, and support fund‑related activity.

Operational Controls & Accuracy: Perform detailed reviews of fund announcements and requests, ensuring all activities meet operational standards and quality controls.

Systems & Tools: Load and manage data using templates, spreadsheets, Access databases, and automated tools/bots that read from Excel‑based inputs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required (Finance preferred, but not required).

1–3 years of experience in Financial Services, Operations, or Client Services (internships or new graduates considered).

Strong attention to detail and ability to thoroughly read, interpret, and act on written communications.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Ability to work independently after training while maintaining extreme accuracy.

Preferred Experience

Prior mutual funds operations or back‑office financial services experience.

Experience working in a team supporting multiple workflows and priorities.

Comfort working in an email‑driven, high‑volume environment.

Exposure to databases, spreadsheets, or operational tools (Access experience not required).

Ability to self‑manage workload, take initiative, and proactively follow up.

Pay Rate Range 24.23 – 30.93 USD hourly.
