Job Summary The Client Operations Associate supports BNY Client Operations within the Broker Dealer and RIA servicing environment. This role serves as a primary point of contact for a high‑volume client base, managing frequent inbound calls and email requests while ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent client support. This position is ideal for professionals who excel in fast‑paced environments, are comfortable handling high phone volume, and can efficiently triage and resolve a broad range of operational inquiries while maintaining strong service levels.
Key Responsibilities
High‑Volume Client Servicing: Serve as a front‑line contact for broker dealers and RIAs, managing a high daily volume of inbound calls and emails related to asset movements, account servicing, and general operational inquiries.
Intake & Triage: Monitor shared inboxes, assess incoming requests, resolve standard inquiries independently, and route complex issues to specialized teams while maintaining ownership through resolution.
Operational Execution: Support day‑to‑day brokerage operations by understanding standard workflows and ensuring requests are processed accurately and within defined service timelines.
Phone & Email Coverage: Maintain availability and responsiveness during core business hours, balancing phone coverage with email‑driven workflows.
Documentation & Tracking: Log, track, and follow up on open client items to ensure timely closure and accurate documentation.
Collaboration: Partner with internal operations and processing teams to resolve issues efficiently and to escalate risks as needed.
Training & Development: Participate in structured onboarding and ongoing training to build product knowledge and operational proficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
3–5 years of experience in financial services, client services, or operations
Proven ability to manage high call volumes in a professional services environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Reliable, punctual, and accountable
Preferred Experience
Broker dealer or RIA operations experience
Experience in high‑volume client service or call‑driven environments
Familiarity with shared inbox management tools
Prior experience at brokerage or custodial firms
Ability to remain composed and effective under pressure
