The Role You'll represent employer clients across a wide range of industries in high-impact employment litigation, with a strong emphasis on wage and hour class and representative actions.
Handling wage and hour class and representative actions from inception through resolution
Managing single-plaintiff employment matters (discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination)
Drafting and arguing dispositive motions, discovery motions, and class certification briefs
Taking and defending depositions of plaintiffs, class representatives, managers, HR professionals, and experts
Participating in case strategy, discovery, mediation, and trial preparation
Advising employer clients on compliance, investigations, leaves, accommodations, discipline, and termination issues
Partnering closely with firm leadership to deliver practical, business-focused risk management solutions
Collaborating with colleagues on overlapping labor, investigations, and employment matters
Work Environment
Fully on-site in Los Angeles (five days per week)
High-collaboration, partner-accessible culture
Deep integration into the firm's employment practice and leadership team
No relocation or sign-on packages offered
Requirements Required Qualifications
Admission to the California Bar in good standing
4+ years of labor and employment law experience at a reputable law firm
Demonstrated wage and hour class action litigation experience on behalf of employers
Strong employment litigation background, including single-plaintiff matters
Experience providing day-to-day employment law advice and counseling to employer clients
Law school GPA of 3.0 or higher
Transcript and writing sample required for submission
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Professional, collaborative, and client-focused approach
Traditional labor law experience is a plus, but not required.
