Base pay range:

$40.00/hr - $45.00/hr

Salary/Hourly Wage:

$43.00 - $47.00/hour

with a

Retention Bonus

of $12,000.

Position: Charge Nurse — Full‑Time; Non‑Exempt

Shift: 7:00 pm - 7:30 am – Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & every other Wednesday

Work Location: Crisis - Peoria Recovery Response Center - Peoria, AZ

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

Valid and current state‑specific Nursing license (Compact licensure preferred).

Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a behavioral health setting.

Summary of Job The Charge Nurse oversees medical, psychiatric, substance abuse and nursing care of individuals served. The Charge Nurse also supervises unit staff in clinical matters including Registered Nurses, Behavioral Health Technicians, Peer Support Specialists and Milieu Specialists.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Guest Care & Advocacy

Ensures completion of designated assessments of all individuals brought to the facility; develops plans and recovery solutions in partnership with the individual.

Supervises special diet requirements as needed.

Team Leadership

Supervises the nursing services for the designated shift, including patient assignments and safety in the facility.

Provides nursing treatment and monitoring.

Compliance & Risk Management

Assists leadership in ensuring nursing care meets licensing regulations and accreditation standards.

Maintains medical and nursing supplies and equipment, monitors safety and effectiveness of equipment.

Administers medication as required by protocol.

Initiates and ensures appropriate response to all medical emergencies in accordance with medical protocol and policy.

Completes clinical documentation as required.

Keeps abreast of all federal and state regulations, laws and Recovery Innovations policies.

Adheres to Recovery Innovations compliance standards as outlined in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Provides treatment and makes dispositions and referrals in consultation with the team.

Coordinates relationship with outside medical and nursing support services including pharmacy and laboratory services.

Job Requirements

Education / Licenses

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

Valid and current state‑specific Nursing license (Compact licensure preferred).

Experience

Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a behavioral health setting.

Skills

Excellent documentation skills.

Must pass de‑escalation training as defined by state requirements.

Driving Requirements

Must meet all requirements of Recovery Innovations’ driving policy if driving is required.

Non‑driver attestation form if not qualified to drive as per policy.

Miscellaneous Requirements

Travel may be required based on business need.

Must be at least 18 years old unless a state permits a different minimum age.

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism (HIPAA).

Complete and meet all requirements of the comprehensive credentialing process if applicable.

Physical Demands May include work close to the eyes and substantial wrist, hand, and finger motion. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, handling, finger dexterity, eye‑hand‑foot coordination, use of corrected vision, color vision, use of auditory senses. May be required to lift up to 20 pounds.

Work Environment May work in an office environment or behavioral health facility, in contact with agitated and/or confused individuals, with travel throughout the geographic region.

DIR, Arizona Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Valid and current state‑specific RN license. Must be 21 years or older.

Dir, Delaware Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Valid and current state‑specific RN license.

Dir, Louisiana Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Valid and current state‑specific RN license. Must be 24 years or older.

Dir, Maryland Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Valid and current state‑specific RN license.

Dir, North Carolina Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Valid and current state‑specific RN license.

Dir, Ohio Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Valid and current state‑specific RN license.

Dir, Washington Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Valid and current state‑specific RN license. Licensed Registered Nurse with 1 year of experience preferred (MHP level preferred).
